These requirements must be met.
Coach Registration Policy: The Maplewood Figure Skating Club fully supports the U.S. Figure Skating policy of Coach Registration. Coach registration ensures that each coach has undergone a background check, has the appropriate liability insurance and maintains their knowledge level through ongoing continuing education.
The policy states that unregistered coaches may not coach at any U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned event. This includes competitions, test sessions and club contract ice. For the Maplewood Figure Skating Club, this means the following:

| |
|
- No unregistered coach may coach on MFSC contract ice at any time. |
For our competitions, registered coaches will be provided with credentials indicating they are registered and will not be allowed rink-side without this.
At test sessions and on club ice, we will use the U.S. Figure Skating list of registered coaches, posted here .. U.S. Figure Skating Current Registered Coaches to determine coaches registration status. Coaches not appearing on this list for that day will not be permitted rink-side or on the ice (on club ice contract sessions).
Please note that the policy does not apply to coaches who are under the age of 18, nor does it currently apply to Basic Skills instructors teaching group lessons.
